Ginge is estimated to be about 8years old and came into Rescue on 9th Jan having been straying for several months previously. He was neutered, wasn’t microchipped and not wearing a collar and despite the finder asking around the local area and posting on local social media sites no-one came forward to claim him. At some point in his earlier life he’s had a full dental extraction so he must have been cared for and loved especially as it didn’t take him long to settle in.
Once he trusts you, which doesn’t take him long, he’s a very affectionate boy who loves being with his humans and having lots of fuss and will sit on your lap and purr away. He’s looking for a fairly quiet household and will make an excellent companion cat or family cat where any children are cat savvy and over 5 years old.
There is a resident cat in his foster home who’s not been too welcoming which hasn’t bothered him at all, so he may be OK with a friendly cat of a similar age, with careful introductions. Although he may prefer to be an only cat so he can have all the love and attention.
He does sometimes enjoy playing tug of war with a rope toy but in general is very chilled and just likes to be in the same room as his humans. He is very clean and doesn’t scratch the furniture or carpets.
Despite having been found straying, Ginge has shown no interest whatsoever in going outside so he would be perfectly happy as an indoor cat
Ginge has had a full vet health check and blood tests and is negative for FIV and FeLV. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment and on adoption will come with 5 weeks free pet insurance from Agria.
