Pip came into Rescue on 9th September, a female kitten of around 7 months old, who had been straying for many months around a lady’s garden in Oakwood. She was found sheltering under an apple tree which is how she got her name, Pip. Despite posters in the area and social media appeals, no one came forward to claim her. She wasn’t microchipped or spayed, and with several unneutered males nearby, Cats Protection kindly arranged for her to be spayed to prevent any unwanted litters.
She’s a very loving and playful kitten who loves to explore and has a wonderfully loud purr that starts up the moment she’s happy or relaxed. Pip adores playtime, chasing string, leaping after toys, and batting her favourite pom-poms around the room. When the fun is over, she’s just as content to curl up on a warm lap for cuddles and a nap. She’s a true mix of lively kitten energy and affectionate calm.
Pip is brilliant with cat-savvy children, enjoying their gentle play and attention so will be ideal as a family member. She is the only cat in her foster home but it is felt that with careful introductions she would be fine with another playful and loving young cat.
So far she hasn’t shown much interest in the outside world but eventually she may like a safe garden to explore away from any busy or main roads.
Pip is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatment and on adoption will come with 5 weeks free pet insurance from Agria.
